Pre-Algebra Math - Evaluating Roots.  Students read how to evaluate square roots of irrational numbers by identifying the natural square roots the given square root falls between.  We then discussed the reading and went over several examples together before students began working on the daily assignment problems 33-50 from the handout and problems given last Wednesday..  NO HW

Computer Applications - Microsoft Excel.  Today students started learning about Microsoft Excel.  The terms worksheet for Chapter 1 was provided as well as the rubric for Project 1.  Project 1 will have students entering data, formatting the table, applying different cell styles, calculating totals using AutoSum and inserting a 3D chart.  NO HW

7th Grade Math -  Equivalent Fractions.  Students created an equivalent fraction pizza fold-able for their notebooks.  The fold-able will be used to help students identify equivalent fractions when given a fraction.  NO HW

Extra Innings - Students will be bringing home scheduling slips for parents to schedule a time they will be able to attend Student Led Conferences on the evenings of March 25th and 26th.  Please sign a time you'll be able to attend and return the slip to school with your student.  If you are unable to attend please note that on the slip.
